When this is the case, it is similar to a DVD recording of a live program that you store in the database of your playback device.

Choose Optimism In University Place

My choice to start my own University Place Variety Pack home business and profit in the online marketplace was an informed decision of optimism. I believe my future is full of promise, and I am seeing the results of my leap of faith.

Occasionally, I am reminded that many of my fellow Washigton workers are worry-aholics. They worry about the economy, they worry about public policy, they worry about their family, they worry about their health. If I read too much news and public commentary, the pessimism, cynicism, and fatalism really bring me down.

I readily admit that there are legitimate concerns for everyone in my home town of University Place. I am not blind to our challenges. However, I choose to believe that collectively and individually we can meet those challenges and prosper. Think of all that we have overcome in the past. Ours is not the only generation faced with complex problems.

I choose to be a optimist. Why? I have taken control of my life by starting my own Xe online business.

One of the best things you can do for your Greater Puget Sound kids is to help them love plant foods. Kids who are exposed to a wide variety of live foods when they are young are more likely to continue eating them when they are grown.

Why are plant foods so important for Greater Puget Sound families?

Plant-based foods have vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber, and protein. Live foods are generally low-fat, low-sodium, and, if unprocessed, have less toxins than processed foods.

Let’s help our Greater Puget Sound kids eat better than most of us Greater Puget Sound adults have eaten for the past three generations.

There is more to a plant-based diet than broccoli and carrots. Here are some plant-based meal and snack ideas to inspire you:

Legumes: beans, peas, lentils (hummus, black bean burritos, vegetarian chile)

Nuts and seeds: pecans, almonds, walnuts, cashews, pumpkin seeds, (sunflower seeds on salads, granola with almonds, trail mix with nuts instead of M&Ms)

Whole grains: barley, spelt, millet, rye, quinoa, brown rice (spelt bread, whole wheat pasta, stir-fry with brown rice)

Fresh and dried fruit: bananas, berries, citrus, melons (blueberry barley pancakes, fruit plate with yogurt-honey dip, dried apricots in brown bag lunches)

Veggies: (mashed sweet potatoes, spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette, pizza with green pepper, mushrooms and onion instead of pepperoni)

University Place Kids and Bug Bite Dangers

Healthy University Place kids love to play outdoors, but Washigton parents need to be aware of a potential danger: bug bites. The ability to tell a harmful bug bite from a benign one is essential to keeping your active University Place child safe.

Flea bites are common in Tacoma, Seattle, and Greater Puget Sound. They appear as a rash on a child’s skin with individual raised spots that might have a puncture in the center. University Place children will usually complain of itchy skin if they have been bitten by fleas.

Bee and wasp stings, also common in the Seattle area, can be differentiated by the number of stings. Bees only sting once, lose their stinger and then die, whereas wasps (as well as hornets and yellow jackets) can sting multiple times. Washigton homes often harbor wasp nests under the eaves.

The sting of a fire ant will usually cause Seattle kids to have a red hive that may develop into a itchy, pus-filled lesion. Chiggers, which are tiny arachnids, cause multiple itchy red welts on kids’ skin. Check your local University Place drugstore for itch-relief products and watch the welts for signs of infection.

Ticks bites will cause an uncomfortable redness on your Seattle child’s skin and may even swell. Since ticks can carry harmful diseases, you should contact your University Place area pediatrician if you child has had a tick bite.

1) Drink less soda: they are loaded with sugar and empty calories.
